Bolivia national football team 2001
The Bolivia national football team played a total number of twelve international matches in the 2001 season under the guidance of manager Carlos Aragonés, including three at the 2001 Copa América in Colombia. The squad didn't qualify for the 2002 FIFA World Cup in Japan and South Korea, ending up in seventh place in the final rankings of the CONMEBOL-zone. Aragonés stepped down after the Copa América and was replaced by interim-manager Jorge Habegger. He led the team for three matches (Chile, Paraguay and Ecuador) before being replaced by former goalkeeper Carlos Trucco.
