Bundelkhand University is a Public State University based in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, India. Founded in 1975, it has professional, technical and vocational study programmes along with facilities for research.

The University is a member of Association of Indian Universities (AIU), International Association of Universities (IAU), Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU). The University is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College is a state-run medical College with high quality Medical Education in Jhansi. The Medical College is Affiliated To Bundelkhand University. Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College is globally recognized for its high quality Medical Education. and this is one of the biggest medical college campus in the country with national and international students. Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College Hospital is Located on Kanpur road a kilometer beyond Bundelkhand University. Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College & Hospital is a premier hospital in Bundelkhand.^[1]

The chancellor of the University is Hon'ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh Ram Naik. The vice chancellor is Prof. Prof Surendra Dubey who belongs from prestigious Gorakhpur University.
