Chhota Bheem: Dholakpur to Kathmandu is an Indian animated movie produced by Green Gold Animations. It is the eighth movie of the Chhota Bheem movie series.[1] It has a running time of 70 mins and was awarded the FICCI-BAF 2013 award for "Animation film, direct-to-video" (Home Video).
Plot
Bheem and his friends are invited to spend their vacations in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, by a cousin of Jaggu- the talking monkey in his best friend circle. Their trip is not without mishap, as they soon find themselves in a situation where a young ape separated from its father, is being pursued by an evil group of jaguars who intend to capture it to take advantage of its spiritual powers. Bheem and his friends, with help from a group of wild deer, defeat the jaguars, rescue the ape and unites it with its father, who was on a rampage because of his child being kidnapped.[2]
Characters
- Chhota Bheem : Known simply as 'Bheem', he is the main protagonist of the Chhota Bheem series. He is a brave 9 year old, who is always there to help those in need.
- Raju : A 4-year-old kid, and Bheem's best friend. He stays by Bheem's side in all of his endeavors.
- Chutki : Another friend of Bheem's, she is the only female in the circle.
- Jaggu : A talking monkey, also from Bheem's friend circle.
- Kalia Pehelwan : An 11-year-old obese bully, Kalia gets into all sorts of trouble along with his sidekicks Dholu and Bholu. He joins Bheem in his quest.
Reception
It generated a very negative response from dedicated fans of the series, and this film made just 20 Lacs.
