Cielito "Honeylet" Salvador Avanceña (born February 16, 1970[2]) is a Filipino businesswoman and former nurse. She is also the common-law wife of Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte.
Avanceña and Duterte have been in a relationship since at least the mid-1990s and have a daughter named Veronica. The two are not legally married.[3]
Avanceña worked as a nurse in the United States for four years. She returned to Davao shortly after her daughter was born in 2004.[2][4]
She joined her partner's presidential campaign in Luzon during the 2016 elections.[2]
She was Miss Davao Doctors College in 1988 and She was crowned as third runner-up in the Mutya ng Dabaw beauty contest in 1998.[5]
