Notable residents
George W. Bush
The Waco suburb is best known for President George W. Bush's Prairie Chapel Ranch, located just outside the town. Crawford was the site of many anti-Iraq War demonstrations including Camp Casey, when Cindy Sheehan purchased five acres (2 ha) just outside Crawford and intended to stay until she was granted a face-to-face meeting with the President, but left soon after.[7] Crawford is the subject of a 2008 documentary film, also called Crawford, about the change brought to the town by Bush's arrival.
