Douglas Eugene "Doug" Facemire[1] (born August 22, 1961) is an American politician and a Democratic member of the West Virginia Senate representing District 12 since 2008.
Education
Facemire graduated from Braxton County High School.
Elections
- 2012 Facemire was unopposed for both the May 8, 2012 Democratic Primary, winning with 12,770 votes,[2] and the November 6, 2012 General election, winning with 29,173 votes.[3]
- 2008 When District 12 Democratic Senator William R. Sharpe, Jr. retired and left a district seat open, Facemire won the May 13, 2008 Democratic Primary with 12,395 votes (52.5%) against state Delegate Douglas Stalnaker,[4] and was unopposed for the November 4, 2008 General election, winning with 34,203 votes.[5]
