Globe is an unincorporated community in Douglas County, Kansas. It is located along U.S. Highway 56 in Marion Township.

Globe was originally called Marion after Francis Marion until the name was changed in 1881.[2] The town's population dwindled with the decline of the Santa Fe Trail.[3]

The Globe post office, called Marion until 1881, opened in 1858, closed in 1867, was reestablished in 1870, closed again in 1894, reopened in 1895, and closed permanently in 1900.[4]
