Hans Breuer (politician)

Hans Breuer was the mayor[1] of Augsburg, Germany, for twenty-eight years between 1972 and 1990.[2] He is Sudeten German and a member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany.[2] One of his most memorable achievements was the grand celebration of Augsburgs 2,000 years of existence in 1985.[2] In 1991 Breuer became an honorary citizen of the city of Augsburg.[3]
