Jéssica de la Peña (born New York City, United States, 1977) is a Colombian-American reporter and journalist for the private news channel RCN.

Biography

Jessica de la Peña was born in New York City, but grew up in Barranquilla, Colombia after her family returned to Colombia when she was five. Her most notable passions include dancing and singing. When questioned about beauty and intelligence,[1] she replied, "'The most important thing is what one carries in the head and heart, for beauty is a supplement that was just as you get older." One of the things that characterizes her is that despite being so young, she has a sense of high responsibility to present and report the news as it should be. She respects the beauty contest queens that transition to television, but noted that the difference between them and true journalists is in the results: it is there where you know who is who, and that it is a type of journalism studied with conviction, and slaughtered it is very very difficult due to competition and such a high number of talents that exist.
