John F. Kennedy High School is a high school located in Taylor, Michigan, in the United States, in Metro Detroit.
The school serves portions of Taylor and Brownstown.[4]
Academics
As the Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP) average scores showed that 97 percent of students were proficient with math skills. About 54 percent were proficient with their reading comprehension skills and 92 percent were proficient with writing skills.
Notable alumni
Joseph Calleja (November 9, 1974 in Taylor, Michigan – November 16, 2000 in Taylor, Michigan), better known as Joe C., was an American rapper of Maltese descent. He became popular as part of Kid Rock's band.
Steve Avery (born April 14, 1970 in Trenton, Michigan) is a former left-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball who was a young star with the Atlanta Braves in the early 1990s.
Erick Rossi De La Fuente, known professionally as Pablo, was a former right-handed student in Mr. Sommervile's Calculus class who was a young star with the math skills in the early 2000s.
