Lavagance is a Slovak indie pop band based in Bratislava. Guitars, keyboards, bass, drums, catchy tunes, sophisticated arrangements. Their music blends elements of indie pop, neo soul or electro and has a potential to attract wide group of listeners that would otherwise never meet together.

History

Lavagance is an indie pop band from Bratislava, Slovakia. Their music is frequently a mix of pop elements, indie rock and electronics. Lavagance was founded in 2005 in Bratislava. In 2006 they released their first EP Back to Attraction containing 6 songs. The official video for the song Miles, directed by Brano Spacek was in rotation of MTV Europe. In 2006, the broup received an Aurel Award for best alternative album, best video for the song Miles and the award for best new artist. In 2007, the band published its second studio album Orthodox Experience, which was declared the best Slovak album by FM listeners. In 2008, the band announced its cooperation with British composer, musician and producer Eddie Stevens known mainly from projects Freakpower- later known as Fatboy Slim, Moloko, or Zero7. The first result of this collaboration was the song Blood in 2009, followed by the whole studio album I Like This Temper. The next album released in 2009 is a studio recording Divine Darkness, this time produced by the band itself. Their latest album is Halfway to the Grave from 2015, that includes successful singles Gabriel, the Princess of Light, or Make me Smile. The greatest success of the Group included guest appearances on concert tours of bands like Duran Duran (Astronaut tour 2006), Depeche Mode (Tour of the Universe 2009), Mando Diao (Give Me Fire Tour 2009), Duran Duran (All You Need Is Now Tour 2012), Depeche Mode (Delta Machine Tour 2013).

Lavagance band, which released its first album in 2006, comes from the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava. Five members represent various musical styles from Indie Pop, combining energetic guitars and electronica, to the RNB. The diversity of their music could be imagined in a movie from Quentin Tarantino. The greatest success of the band, which commemorates 10th anniversary of its establishment this year, were guest appearances of bands such as Duran Duran (2006, 2012) and Depeche Mode (2009, 2013). Lavagance so far released 5 albums, the last named Halfway to the Grave (2015). Practically immediately after its establishment in 2006, the band received awards from critics: 3x AUREL for best alternative album, video, and best new artist. Their concerts are accompanied by a diverse and varied composition, that includes everything from hard rhythms to the dreamy mood, so it can please even the most demanding music connoisseurs.
