Awards Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves

Max Wandrey (8 April 1910 – 21 February 1945) was a highly decorated Major of the Reserves of the Brandenburgers in the Wehrmacht during World War II, and a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves, awarded by Nazi Germany to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Wandrey was wounded on 20 February 1945 and died on 21 February 1945. He was posthumously awarded the Oak Leaves to his Knight's Cross on 16 March 1945.
