Pageant Point

Pageant Point (60°44′S 45°36′W / 60.733°S 45.600°W / -60.733; -45.600Coordinates: 60°44′S 45°36′W / 60.733°S 45.600°W / -60.733; -45.600) is the central and highest of three ice-free points at the east end of Gourlay Peninsula on Signy Island, in the South Orkney Islands. Surveyed in 1933 by DI personnel, and resurveyed in 1947 by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS). The name, given by the FIDS, derives from the penguin rookery there, with its associated pageantry.
