Pet is an American/Spanish psychological thriller film written by Jeremy Slater, directed by Carles Torrens, and starring Dominic Monaghan, Ksenia Solo, Jennette McCurdy, and Nathan Parsons.[2][3][4] The film premiered at South by Southwest on March 11, 2016[5][6] and was released to theaters on December 2, 2016.
Plot
Seth (Dominic Monaghan) works at an animal shelter, and for years has been secretly in love with a waitress named Holly (Ksenia Solo). When he repeatedly fails in his attempts to woo her, he decides to lock her in a cage at the shelter where he works. He soon discovers that Holly is not who she appears to be and it is no longer clear who is the real victim.

Production
It was announced in August 2015 that filming had begun with actors Dominic Monaghan, Ksenia Solo, Jennette McCurdy, and Nathan Parsons.[2][3][4]
Screenings
The film premiered at the March 2016 South by Southwest Film festival.[5][6][7]
Release
Pet will be released to theatres on the 2nd of December 2016.[8] It will then be available on DVD December 27th. [9]
Reception
Quiet Earth compares the film to "captor/captive films like Hard Candy and Gone Girl" and writes that it "looks like it will be a stylish, claustrophobic thriller".[10]
