Rajshri Deshpande
Rajshri Deshpande[1] is an Indian actress, who appears in theatre, films and TV shows.
Career
Rajshri Deshpande is an acting alumni of Whistling Woods International, Mumbai. Her mother wanted her to have a professional degree so she studied law. She got into the advertising industry to support herself, but soon found her calling in acting.
She played the role of Lakshmi[2] in the critically acclaimed film Angry Indian Goddesses, directed by Pan Nalin and edited by Shreyas Beltangdy and his colleague Pavan Bhat. The film received 1st Runner Up - People's Choice Award in TIFF (Toronto)[3] and People's Choice Award in Rome Film Festival.[4] She played a double role in a Malayalam film Haram,[5] as Ameena and Roopa, which released in 2015.
She has also made appearances in Talaash and Kick. Rajshri has a number of upcoming projects slated to release in 2016, including multilingual film Eli Eli Lama Sabachthani?[6] and late Bappaditya Bandopadhyay's Bengali film.[7] She has also acted in TV shows like Kuch to Log Kahenge and 24: India, where she played the character of Agent Veena.
