The SkyBar is a well-known, trendy bar and lounge inside the Mondrian Hotel, in Los Angeles, California. The Los Angeles location features an outdoor area with a pool overlooking West Hollywood, as well an indoor area with bar. Future locations at upcoming Mondrian Hotels are on track by the Morgans Hotel Group. Most notably, in Chicago, Miami and Palm Springs, California.
Skybar in popular culture
It is used by William Gibson in his 2007 novel Spook Country as a meeting place between the protagonist Hollis Henry and her employer Hubertus Bigend On Wednesday March 9, 2011 WWE superstar John Morrison and WWE Diva Melina were banned from the SkyBar when they jumped in the pool.
In Shakira's 2010 song, "Men in This Town", she mentions SkyBar.
