The Stadskanaal–Zuidbroek railway is a railway line in the Netherlands running from Stadskanaal to Zuidbroek, passing through Veendam. The line was opened in 1910.[1] After closure of the line in 1953, the Veendam-Zuidbroek part of the line was reopened in 2011. The Stadskanaal-Veendam part is owned by STAR and used as a museum line, run with mostly steam trains.

Veendam actually consists of two separate stations: one serviced by Arriva and the other serviced by the STAR steam trains.

Train service

Services for Veendam-Zuidbroek are operated by Arriva. From Monday to Saturday trains run 2x per hour between 5am and 8pm. On all other times trains run 1x per hour.
