Sun Jun (basketball)

Sun Jun (Chinese:孙军, born June 22, 1969 in Changchun, Jilin, China) is an assist coach of the Chinese national basketball team.

Jilin Northeast Tigers

Sun Jun played in Jilin Northeast Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) in his entire career. He is the current CBA record holder of most points in a game and point in a season.^[1] He is an eight-time all star and won regular season MVP twice in CBA.

National career

Sun was selected by the national youth team in 1986. He was a member of the national team between 1989 and 2003.

Coach career

Sun had been Jilin Northeast Tigers's player-coach for a long time, eventually became the CEO and general manager of the club. After an ownership change in 2007, Sun joined the coach team in the national basketball team as an assist coach .
