Vitaya is a women's magazine published in Belgium since 2001. The magazine is owned by De Persgroep.

History and profile

The magazine was started in 2001 with the name evita.[1] The first issue appeared on 9 May 2001.[1] The magazine was acquired by Vlaamse Media Maatschappij Vitaya in 2008 and it was renamed Vitaya the same year.[1] Later it was sold to Sanoma Media Belgium NV and moved its headquarters from Brussels[2] to Mechelen.[3] Sanoma merged its women's magazine Fit & Gezond, launched in 1992, with Vitaya.[4]

Vitaya is published on a monthly basis.[2] The magazine covers topics for women including fashion, lifestyle, cooking, nutrition and health.[2] In May 2015 De Persgroep acquired the magazine.[5][6]
