Waraseoni is a town and a Nagar Palika Parishad in Balaghat district in Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. is situated at a Distance of 16 km from the District Headquarters
Transportation
Waraseoni is Connected by Road Routes Through various Directions like Balaghat, Katangi, Lalbarra, Tumsar & Bhandara. It is also connected by Rail Route ; It lies in between the Balaghat - Katangi section of S.E.C.R. in which 5 Runs of DEMU Trains are Operated which connects the city to Gondia a Major Station on Mumbai - Howrah Line. The major city nearby waraseoni is Nagpur which is 150 km away by road.
City of Freedom Fighters

This is also the birthplace of famous allopathic surgeon Dr Narayan Prasad Tamrakar.
Demographics
As of 2011 India census,[2] Waraseoni had a population of 27,494. Males constitute 50% and females 50% of the population. Waraseoni has an average literacy rate of 76%, which is much higher than the national average of 59.5%. Male literacy is 82% and female literacy is 70%. In Waraseoni, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.
The only language spoken is Hindi. Other dialects of Hindi are also spoken in some parts of Waraseoni. Pure Hindi is used in the city area of Waraseoni. People have also started speaking English. However, there is a long way to go. A large number of ladies join English speaking courses. Awareness among the ladies is growing faster than men.
Usage of the Internet has been growing rapidly as most of the teens have started using internet. It is kind of an addiction for them. There is a hope that this may lead to a positive consequence. This may sooner or later bring the technological awareness among the teens in order to develop the city.
Other attractions
Other attractions include an Ancient Jain temple on old Rampaili road ancient shiv temple on Mandnpur road Waraseoni. Another attraction includes a viaduct called as GotaDol (upon Chandan River) there is a Lord Shiv's Temple of 20th century where people go for picnics. Garra, which falls under Waraseoni Tehsil is an industrial area and it is situated on the banks of Wainganga river along with which there is a botanical garden.
