William J. Boone was an American football coach in the United States.[1][2]
Coaching career
Coach William Boone was the head college football coach for the Hillsdale Chargers located in Hillsdale, Michigan. He held that position for the 1906 season. His coaching record at Hillsdale was 0 wins and 7 losses. As of the conclusion of the 2009 season, this ranks him #27 at Hillsdale in total wins and #27 at the school in winning percentage (.000).[3]
Boone played football under Amos Alonzo Stagg at the University of Chicago.[4]
