Youssef Allam Group is an Egyptian group of companies established in 1948 by Youssef Allam.[1] Though the group started with Paper Trading, it now operates in many fields such as Paper, Integrated Printing Solutions, Digital Printing Solutions, Media Storage, Resins & Machinery, and Medical Solutions. It employs over 450 staff and serves over 3,000 customers in Egypt, Libya, Sudan, & UAE. It is the sole agent of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen in Egypt, Libya, and Sudan.[2]
Timeline
- 1948: Paper Trading Company established
- 1955: Begins importing paper from Austria and Finland for distribution in Egypt
- 1960: Launches a new venture in the trading of printing machines
- 1970: Becomes the sole agent of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen
- 1972: Opening a distribution center for printer consumables
- 1978: Expands its business establishing a plastics machinery department
- 1979: The new Resins & Chemicals department is opened
- 1985: Become the sole agent and distributor of Resins & Chemicals
- 1990: Establishment of the Digital Printing Business Unit
- 1992: Establishment of Media Storage Business Unit
- 1998: Establishment of Medical Solutions Business Unit
- 1999: Opening of Print Media Academy (PMAC)[3]
