Zandré Jordaan (born 24 September 1987) is a South African rugby union player, currently playing with the Boland Cavaliers.[1] His regular position is a loose-forward.
Career
Youth
He started his career at Western Province and represented them at the 2005 Under–18 Academy Week tournament. He also played for their Under-19 side in 2006 and their Under-21 side in 2008.
Senior career
In 2009, he was included in their squad for the 2009 Vodacom Cup competition.[2] He made two appearances in the Vodacom Cup, one in a compulsory friendly match against the Mighty Elephants[3] and one against the British and Irish Lions during their 2009 tour to South Africa.[4]
For the latter half of 2009, he joined Boland Cavaliers for the 2009 Currie Cup Premier Division. They eventually got relegated, despite Jordaan scoring two tries in the first leg match against the Pumas.[5] He has since established himself as a first-team regular for Boland, playing in the majority of games since then.
Jordaan made the move to George to join the SWD Eagles for the 2015 season.[6]
In 2012, he was included in a South African Barbarians (South) team that faced England during the 2012 mid-year rugby test series.[7] The following year, he was included in a South Africa President's XV team that played in the 2013 IRB Tbilisi Cup[8] and won the tournament after winning all three matches.[9]
He also represented the Maties in the 2008 Varsity Cup competition.
