The 2006 Arkansas gubernatorial election took place on Tuesday, November 7, 2006. Incumbent Governor Mike Huckabee, a Republican, was unable to seek another term due to term limits. Mike Beebe, the Attorney General of Arkansas and the Democratic nominee, defeated Asa Hutchinson, a former United States Congressman and the Republican nominee, by a wide margin.
