Panchita (or Chanda Bazar[1] as it is commonly called) is a town in Bongaon sub-division in the North 24 Parganas district, state of West Bengal, India. It has a well used picnic spot along with a huge market, Beside this an Allahabad Bank, a State Bank of India ATM, Chanda Lalit Mohan High School H.S. as landmark & also a Chanda G.S.F.P primary school. Bongaon-Bagdaha Road and Nakful-Bediyapota Roads intersect here.

Doljatra is a holiday and fair (Mela) is held for 7 days. It is a fair specially held on Holi. Naam kirtan is a cultural fair (Mela) which is held for 7 days from 25th December to 1st January of every year. Durga Puja is the main festival of Panchita. Saraswati Puja is celebrated in many homes in Panchita, Saraswati is the Goddess of art and knowledge. Another popular celebration is Kali Puja. Among this there are several occasions or puja as Charak Puja, Rath jatra Mela, EID etc.
