Techno India is an engineering and management college located in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. The college was established in 2001 by Techno India group. It provides engineering, technological & management education. The college is an AICTE-approved institution and is affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology.^[1] Techno India is the flagship college and the main placement centre for the Techno India group of colleges in West Bengal.

Techno India is located in Sector V, Bidhannagar, Kolkata Salt lake, Kolkata and is spread over 2.9 hectares (29,000 m²) of land. The college campus consists of two large buildings; one main 5-story building, and a new 9-story building that is mostly for corporate offices for example Tech Mahindra, NIIT,google, and ARC

Academics

Techno India offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in various engineering, computer and business disciplines.^[2] The college offers B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Food Technology, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The college also offers other professional degree courses like Master of Computer Applications (MCA), Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), Master of Business Administration (MBA) two-year full-time programs, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Hospital Management (BHM), Master of Hospital Administration (MHA), Bachelor of Media Science(BMS), and Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in VLSI. The B.Tech, MCA, MBA and M.Tech courses are AICTE approved. All the courses are affiliated to the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, Salt Lake, West Bengal.

There are about 178 faculty members teaching in various departments. More than 2200 students are enrolled to various courses of study. There is a library, on the ground floor of the main building, which is equipped with modern facilities like a computerized catalog, digital copies of all the books, computerized maintenance of lending and receiving of books, a reading room and computers that allow students to search books online.

Events

There are 5 major fests organised by Techno India,held during February–April period. Those are: 1. UNIEX: is a management fest which is organised by the management department(MBA,BBA,BHM,MHA) in January–February. In 2014 Uniex will be held on 7 & 8 February. The events are Drama,Dance,Singing,Tresure Hunt,Business Plan. etc. 2. The Tournament is also held in the month of January and fenbruary. 3. Anakhronos: It is the cultural festival of techno India mainly held in the month of February. 4. Eclectica: It is the literary festival of Techno India held in the month of March. EDGE: It is the annual technical fest of Techno India which is mainly held in the month of April.Since its inception in 2007, this extravaganza of technical acumen and competitive display of cognizance, innovation and pragmatic implementation of technology, has soared from strength to strength every year.Now EDGE stands as the 2nd Largest Techno-Management Fest of EASTERN INDIA and Biggest in Kolkata.There are over 42 events with prize money of about Rs. 5Lakh and participation of above 3000.The event categories are Cybercrusade(Gaming); Robotics; Compute-Aid(Coding); In-Focus(Photography); Newron(Quiz Debate & Circuit Making); Food For Fun(Food Technology); Money Matters(Management events); Innovati(Project Demonstration) and Fun events.Special Events(Paintball or Laser Tag) and Guest Lectures are other attractions in EDGE.
